Play-out in SD/HD
STN uses an established HD/SD channel playout with advanced graphics capabilities with virtually unlimited layers of animated text, multi-level animations and dual channel DVEs.
For playout customers STN uses an established HD/SD channel playout with advanced graphics capabilities. These include powerful HD/SD character generator which allows the playout of virtually unlimited layers of animated text and dynamically updated text, multi-level animation and dual channel DVEs. This is controlled by an automation system with automatic playlist synchronization and on-air protection. Ingest of programme material in HD or SD can be done locally via tapes/DVDs or other media or it can be sent via FTP to STN. Ingest of programme material can also be done via satellite, fibre, internet or other feeds.
To keep the audio levelled STN uses digital 4-channel audio levelling processor boxes with SDI interface. With these powerful audio DSPs we are able to provide complete control over level changes from different feeds, level differences between different program parts or even loudness problems in broadcasting without touching the sound of the audio material. We use these devices both in ingest and playout.
